Welcome to ILUMINA Consulting and Advocacy, a pioneering force set to transform the landscape of disability inclusion in the workplace, community and at home in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Our mission is to illuminate the path of inclusion and opportunity in both local businesses and communities and to help guide families through the different government resources and pathways in healthcare to help foster stronger beginnings and support for parents and children.

As a mother of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder myself, I have seen firsthand the enormous potential and unique views that can come with fostering inclusivity in business and in the community. I've dedicated much of my life to learning, growing and supporting those in the disability community, including teachers, parents, students, and adults with varying abilities and skills, and I am very proud to be able to offer my knowledge and support to those who need it.

TESTIMONIALS

What people are saying

I have worked with Teagan in the past with Advocacy work during the 2023 CUPE 5047 strike that affected the support workers needed to support and help students with disabilities at schools in HRM. She helped organize rallies, support families with resources in their respective communities, plan and hold town hall meetings with Members of Parliament and helped run social media with updates, resources and helpful information while we advocated for our students and workers. She is extremely driven and knowledgeable and I couldn’t think of anyone else I’d rather turn to when in need of help and direction facing the impossible.

Past Colleague

I would entrust few others with the importance of an impaired loved one. Teagan has first-hand experience, and the know-how it takes to compile necessary forms and documents in both early and late stages of acquiring medical documentation. She is the embodiment of compassion, and never fails to rise to the occasion, no matter how impossible or hopeless the
situation feels. With her resourcefulness, and her dedication to human rights, Teagan will help you achieve the freedom you and your loved ones crave: The freedom you deserve.
